Talofa & Hello ,

I am Michael, a 31 year old Samoan Aussie who loves to create, film, laugh, love and everything in between.

Why do I film?

Well, it should read, 100 reasons why I film. I could say it simply brings me joy, but it is way more then that. To understand why I film, I would have to take you back to why and where I started.

They say, A picture is worth a thousand words, but for me, I live for the moments, captured before, after and in between. It is from my love of travel, I found my love for Filming. To emotionally attach a specific memory with a specific moment, to watch a video and remember every detail of a memory, the taste of the Bruschetta and Ragu Beef Spaghetti in front of the Pantheon in Rome, the way my body shivered for the first time ever seeing snow, atop of the Jungfrau, to feel that feeling once again is what we desire. To capture yourself in time, then to replay it and take you back instantly, that is why I film. To bring back every emotion and every little connection, to capture the moments that mattered and the moments that were missed.

My wife Jessica and I, love to travel. Who doesn’t. Our eyes are blessed to have seen such amazing places. Through the videos my wife and I created, my goal was to inspire my family & friends back home to experience the world. My family hails from the Pacific Island, Apia of Western Samoa. With family lineage ties that stretch out from Samoa to Alsace Lorraine in France, Stepney in London, China, Germany and many more beautiful countries. I wanted to stand and follow in the footprints of my ancestors and travel, to see where this Samoan man could go next to throw the redeemer up.

I wanted everyone back home watching my videos to feel connected as if they were travelling with me. To feeling connected to home, watching my wife’s eyes witness her homeland in St. Mark’s Square in Venice. To feeling Zen, watching a drone fly through a valley with 72 Waterfalls with the echoing Church Bell in Lautterbrunnen. To feel your heart melt holding your lovers hand watching the Eiffel Tower lights sparkle. Our emotions are our messengers.

Now come to today, it’s wedding day. My favourite moment, without a doubt to capture, is the moment the Groom separates himself from the world, the moment he sees the most beautiful person, where only you and her matter in this time and space. In that moment, when the groom sees his wife to be, walk towards him, that is my favourite moment.

A good friend of mine, reached out to me one day. He told me how he loved my travel videos and that he would love for me to come and do a cool video like that for his café. From there, I have never looked back. From a hobby to what it is today, from learning on the go and being self taught, my journey has only started. From special events, to product & business promotions, real estate and every special milestone, without the push of my family, I wouldn’t be here pursuing what I love.

I come from a family of seven. Mum, Dad, three brothers and baby sis. I couldn’t imagine life without them. I am married to my best friend Jessica and have a beautiful baby boy named Mateo. Everything I do, is for them.
